I have been
interested in medicine since high school, and now I have a great opportunity
here at Nazarbayev University to study fundamental biomedical sciences in order
to enter the medical school in the future. One of the goals I have for the
future is to become a practicing physician as well as scientist.
I participate in
several student clubs such as Pre-med club, NU Biomed club and dancing club
(ensemble). I am a moderator at NU BioMed. Recently, I visited primary school
children and gave a presentation on “Oral health care” on behalf of the pre-med
club. In addition I had a chance to volunteer at the Emergency Department as a nurse
assistant, where I better understood the reality behind a medical worker’s job.
My hobbies are
reading books, playing togyz kumalak (kazakh national chess-like game),
dancing and skating.
